Welcome to my Furniture Page

For the past fifty years I have been working with wood. For much of that time it was as a carpenter and home builder. About 15 years ago, I was lucky enough to add a wood shop to my home. I used my shop for lots of different things like my train layouts, parade lanterns and stained glass, along with building furniture. The furniture pieces you see below were all made for my home or for my family.

For years, my wife and I loved Mission Style furniture so I started building pieces for our house. The Mission furniture is all made out of red oak and includes a beautiful vanity base with a glass bowl and mirror for our master bath. I then built a vertical cabinet for the hall and inserted a cool mission style stained glass piece that I made. After moving to Hilton Head, I created a Blue Heron stained glass piece to replace the mission piece. I built several other pieces for our living room including end tables and a stereo cabinet.  The Morris chair that I made two years ago was the hardest thing I have ever done and I was very pleased how it turned out.  The last piece you'll see is a large 6 drawer dresser, made out of white ash, that I made for my grandson's bedroom. The white paint and golden stained color scheme was chosen to match the crib.
